The dish is,,,,,well it's all one piece ! The spoon may be original...?
Mom used it for strong white horseradish..........which we never cared for...:vomit:
    It's under 3 inches tall.

What a sweet piece! I would think for mustard, jam or horseradish:)
Looks handprinted, maybe by a hobbyist painter, could be Austria or Germany.

Mustard. The proper stuff, not the squeezy blandness.

Mustard, but Hey, I'll use it for any old thing!

You could always say condiment, covers more than one saucy thing.

They would have to be very small saucy things:).

Jam - more feminine (decorative) table use?

Should be something on the wet side with that saucer...

I just got that: sauce(r) - wow, i should smoke more pot!

Reminds me of the time i figured out frigidaire :) lol

mustard or something else/salty... that you couldn't serve in silver for fear of the pitting that could occur.

I have no info on the set, but I'm standing up for horse radish. I love it! :clown:

Probably best to use the word condiment to cover your bases Komo.
Red horse radish ruled in my growing up years especially for gefilte fish.

So . a germanic blank painted by a very talented nobody within the last 200 years...or so.....made to dole out less than copious amounts of some type of wet or dry condiment...

Thank you all for your insights......
