    As you all have found out, this is a Vienna Secessionist piece. You might consider secessionism the bridge to art deco from the arts and crafts movement. This is my interpretation looking back. I doubt the designers considered it a bridge to anything. Also as noted, there is no purity of form when it comes to these things and it is sometimes hard to determine what movement a piece designates to. Design does not happen in a vacuum and art nouveau, arts and crafts, and secessionism co-existed. Art deco came a bit later but it also overlapped with the above movements a bit as the styles lingered on in to the 20s
