Featured Furniture Finds and Faves

    Any great finds lately? Any faves you'd like to repost?

    I've been searching for a Victorian credenza for years. In my part of the U.S. one almost never sees them, and the ones on E-Bay tend to be crazy expensive.

    Thanks to the depression in brown furniture, I spied this one in a dark corner of one of the few remaining good antique stores around at an amazing price. It was made in New York City about 1870.

    Of course brown furniture may well never come back, but I'm reminded by my stock market friends that the time to buy is when the market is down. In any case, I feel super fortunate:

    Not my personal style, but put that baby in the right setting and... yowza. It would be worth decorating a room around the furniture instead of pulling a JQ Average and buying flat pack to fit the room.
