    1960s, 70s or 80s ???

Appears to be marked: 'TIFFANY STLIN(?)'.

    Your thoughts?

    Thank you!

(Sorry about the poor close-up mark image. It's the best I could get for now.)

    Hi,
I would be concerned. Every piece of real Tiffany I have seen always had at least Tiffany & Co. Have not handled new Tiffany in a few years so perhaps that changed.

    I agree, Greg.

'Nuff - is there a Tiffany store you could visit to have them take a look?

I'd be suspicious; Tiffany is better at marking their stuff.

Seems that the maker didn't know how to abbreviate sterl? I have see lots of faked Tiffany coming out of China :( In fact, last year ICE busted a group in LA who were selling the jewelry from their vehicle.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Just curious... is it a necklace? Or .... what is it?

Believe the suggestion of taking it to a Tiffany store is a good one, they won't clean or repair any counterfeit pieces...

As already mentioned, modern Tiffany jewelry is widely faked, over the years have run across many sites online blatantly selling 'Tiffany', complete with pouches and boxes. Would have serious doubts on this one with that 'off' mark, would expect to see maybe a 'T&CO 925' or something along those lines, and while they've been known to abbreviate 'sterling' as 'STG', have never seen anything like whatever yours says. Tiffany has made plain, simple wire necklaces and bracelets for decades, but they have nicely finished beaded ends on the wire; and can remember them using wire necklaces, similar to this one in the 1970s-80s, on their bean and puffy heart pendants, as well as a few other less common pieces, but the the charms were a tight fit, slid on before the end loop was made - do seem to recall some with charms that hung from a ring or bail though.

Even if this were real, I'd probably melt it; Tiffany is more trouble than it's worth unless it's old.
