I am looking to find out some more information on a sign I recently purchased. I have not seen another like it and can't find any info on it.

Looks like sheet metal on the back. about 1/8 3/16 thick. I think it's porcelain but not really sure. Got it out of a hotel built in the late 1800s but know one knows anything about it

Robby Burns was a lowlander, not a highlander. And no beard, and better looking.

Given the cartoonish nature of the image, it's no doubt 20th century. Some company's logo. Assuming there is no text on the sign?

There was and still are Highlander Pilsner beer. The highlander pixie character looks like he is holding a pilsner glass. The Missoula Brewing Company made what was called Highlander Pilsner. It seems to be still in operation. Believe it started in c1890. The plaid used on some of their logos was/is red and blue. The pixie on this sign is wearing red, blue & white checks.

There is the Highland Brewing Company somewhere in North Carolina. They do a pilsner. This can't be the brewery for they have only been in operation since the 1990s.

With all the above said and done, I would not be surprised if the sign had nothing to do with the product: ale, beer..., but had to do with the bar, pub, etc...

Edit: With that impish grim, shamrock nose and beard, if the pixie was dressed in green he could pass as an Irish leprechaun.
