Modernistic Charger

    A friend sent me photos of these two large chargers and asked if I could help. No pic of the backs I’m afraid but they are totally black with no mark or signature. Any ideas? I feel there’s a South American vibe to them. About 40cm diameter.

    Are they cloisonne enamel? They sure look like it!

    Look like pottery/ceramic to me

    @John Brassey The fine lines are incised then? Couldn't see how it could be made otherwise - they looked level with the surface to me, that's what I think threw me.

    To me they look like tourist ware from the southwest. Nice way to show the mythology of the first people.

    Agreed. I lived in Sedona for 20 years and in my opinion, they are both fine quality gallery pieces but I am by no means an expert.

    I think the quality is very good but disagree that they were gallery pieces if they’re unsigned. I think they’re higher end commercial “gift shop” pieces from the SW and my personal “vibe” is 80s.
