Questions about & help selling set of 12 Hutschenreuther plates

I have six each 10 1/8" dinner plates and 8 3/8" (appetizer? salad? dessert?) plates. Here's just one of the dinners.

I searched the R site for the pattern, to no avail. It's pretty, and has what I'd call understated elegance. It appears to be gold and silver encrusted (though there's no tarnish present to indicate actual silver; I take the gold to be the gold leaf commonly found on china). The triple band is about 5/8" wide. Here's a close-up.

Last, questions about the backstamps. I'll show them first, then ask questions.

1. Does the logo help to date these?
2. Does TIRSCHENREUTH indicate a city perhaps where the plates were made? (That's what I believe I was told some time ago.)
3. Do the red letters at bottom indicate a company in Belgium where they were decorated?

One final question: Would it make sense to offer each set of six at a low price—say 9.99—or start them higher—say 99.95?

Oh, and is this the best forum to show them?

Since the silver never tarnished it was most likely platinium fired on the same time as the gold. Not enough money to try and melt down.

My guess would be a store in Belgium,SIVA CO that imported them.?

I have several pieces of Hutschenreuther Tischenreuther and for the little research I have done, they go for a good amount of $$$
I think your plates are elegant.

Hutschenreuther Porcelain Factory was founded by Carolus Magnus in Hohenburg, Bavaria, in 1814. A second factory was established in Selb, Germany, in 1857. The company made fine quality porcelain dinnerwares and figurines. The mark changed through the years, but the name and the lion insignia appear in most versions. Hutschenreuther became part of the Rosenthal division of the Waterford Wedgwood Group in 2000. Since 2000, Hutschenreuther is a Rosenthal trademark for the porcelain and bone china. Rosenthal was bought by Sambonet Paderno Industries, headquartered in Orfento, Novaro, Italy, in 2009.

Thank you, Spirit. I'm having a little trouble trying to decide how to price them. With a known item, like Shelley Dainty Blue, I start low—9.99—and let the market drive the price up. But these are not known. It seemed the ones that sold for the most on eBay were started at high prices, which was what they sold for. If you have any suggestions, I would sure be grateful.

 

Well, I do it a bit different, I am not much of a risk taker. I research the prices on and off eBay and then I go a bit above the middle and use a BIN and free shipping.

I have success selling higher end china several ways. In sets of 4 like items (ie. four dinner plates), one complete place setting, or one at time using ebay's listing variation so the buyer can select the number of plates the want. If using the later listing variation it is easier to add in shipping to your costs, so the buyer receives "free" shipping.
