This has engraving as seen in the pic of the bottom. It is difficult to read but there is the word that looks like "raygsford-57" with the f in scroll manuscript. Then the other looks to read, "coquille." Thats the best that i can make out of the engraving. We are trying to make sure that things are properly insured and cared for so any help is awesome 20170514_162009.jpg 20170514_162009.jpg 20170514_162137.jpg 20170514_162009.jpg 20170514_162137.jpg 20170514_162158.jpg

Hi there. Not sure what you mean by "insuring" ... for homeowner's insurance?

Here is one from 1959 unsold for $14.99, however note that the one in this link has a scratch and small chip. You can check under Ebay completed sold for others, searching under: "Flygsfors". You should only compare with sold items to get a realistic value.

I saw them range from 11.00 to 60.00 depending on the date. Yes we are just wanting to make sure that anything that is of value, whether sentiment or dollarwise, is covered in case of fire, flood, or zombie apocalypse...lol

Most insurance policies will not cover individual pieces unless they are listed separately as a rider to the policy with an appraisal and you pay for insurance for each individual piece.

I don't know if the Chubb insurance company still has it but at one time, they offered a package rider where you could buy a certain amount of insurance and it encompassed a group of things.(up to $10K or $50K etc.) I don't remember if you had to list the items you wanted covered with an appraisal but you had to have some kind of proof. For people who have a lot to insure, this was a less expensive way to do it.

Oh...i will have to check with our provider and see. I know that we were able to add our wedding rings and our guns but I'm not sure how that was listed. It might've neen just as an overall estimate of personal possessions. Thsnks for the heads up

Yes check the policy.......individual items ..can add up......but if she has a $17,000 ring and you have a $ 60,000 Tommy Gun.......get em insured on a rider.
