IMG_3130.JPG I've googled several different things trying to get information on a Silver King 1¢ gum ball machine. I have one that is full of pennies and I can't figure out how to get them out. Additionally, the front of the globe is not aligned with the base where the gum would come out. I don't know how to realign it as I'm afraid I'll break it. I've included some pictures here. Maybe someone here knows how to remove the coins and/or realign the globe? Thanks for any suggestions!

there should be a nut on the top which loosens everything and the glass will lift off.

There is a key located in the top, but it felt loose and I realized it's broken. I tried screwing the lid off but, I guess since it's "locked", it won't open. :/

if you can get it unlocked or forced (carefully) everything should come apart.

Thank you! I've never picked a lock, but I'll give it a shot.

We've had one of those before. My husband is a locksmith and we've had everything from slot machines to parking meters. I'd say, if you don't know how to pick a lock, call around to your local locksmiths. It shouldn't be that expensive.
