Which Pieces Of Furniture Are Out Of Favor Today?

    I was at an antique auction yesterday and overheard a vintage furniture dealer telling the auctioneer that roll top desks are out of favor these days and that they have several back at the store that they have heavily discounted and cannot sell. I guess older desks aren't really suitable for modern desktop computers and such.

    Do you agree with the dealer? What other pieces of furniture are out of style? China cabinets since younger generations don't tend to have as much china?

    Natural wood of all sorts is a problem. Victorian furniture is generally dead in the water around here. Good MCM still sells. Dining room sets are pretty toasty too.
