Do you know where I might find thread in adapters to use common sized bulbs on Czech perfumes? I tried Paradise & Co and came up empty.

Can you show the type bottle you are trying to fit?

This one is definitely not going anywhere because I have been waiting for years for it to finally be published, but it finally arrived on Thursday & I have spent hours reading & staring at all the wonderful bottles. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Cxgirl, I like the silver pencil and the box or notebook cover. Looks like it might have originally gone on a chatelaine, perhaps? Wondering because of the loop at the top.

Fig, yes, I believe it could have gone a chatelaine. I see these as dance cards, but could be used as a notebook. When you remove the pencil it opens up.

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Got this yesterday at the flea market. It's a foldable brass snack tray. It's very decorative and the colors are amazing!! I love it. Got it for $3. It has no stand and is foldable, which leads me to think that's it was used for traveling. With the decorations and color, I can only imagine where this has been and who owned it.

Recent find: my wife and I collect the work of Judy Cranmer, Kwakiutl by marriage; she painted abstract form-line designs onto stoneware items thrown on a wheel in what would normally be considered a non-native technique.
She was the only Northwest Coast Native artist to have worked in this medium, so far as I know.

And another; don't tell my wife but this will be a gift for her. It can be worn as a brooch or necklace.

Rod Smith (Galuyagmi 'Great First Birth'), Kwakwaka'wakw, apprenticed with his father Harris Smith (Lalkawilas), who chose an unusual medium for Northwest Coast Native art: he turned wood bowls on a lathe, and painted abstract Northwest Coast Native designs on them. Rod and his brother Steve Smith have expanded the family style, beginning with lathe-turned forms and then painting, cutting and re-assembling them into more complex works. Rod was born in Vancouver, Canada and currently resides in Qualicum Beach BC.

Yes, one of the family characteristics is the use of deep colors; intense reds and greens.
Here's a couple by the father, Harris Smith:

All-fakes thanks for sharing. How is the pottery marked?

CX- I really like the silver case, almost a Japanese vibe on the backside

yes, everyone has found some amazing things...I like the boxes, one looks to be maple with a nice burly or tiger-eye pattern...and I can really see dance cards, or a little dance-book, in the case.
