Thanks so much Any Jewelry and Davey!
I am sure they are not plated. I tested them for 14K, and they did pass the test, I also tested them for 22K, which they did not pass. I did not test for 18K because I couldn't find my 18K bottle:confused:, but will try looking again.
The posts are marked with a clear 14K mark, but I wonder if these were made into earrings from something else, and possibly be 18K on the coin area?
Thanks ever so much for letting me know about the 18K mark Any Jewelry!:)

Pleasure of course! Maybe they were 18k clips made into stud earrings using 14k posts?

I wonder! They are a bit mysterious!
I'm Going to take them to a jeweler to see if they will test them for me.
    Thanks again:)

If they're heavily plated, you'd need to file well into them to check. I'd ask a local scrapper if they're solid.

    Update:
Just got back from a gold buying place, and they are indeed 18K (the coin area), and he offered me $60. for them.
A big thanks again to Any Jewelry :) for letting me know the mark was an Arabic 18, otherwise, I probably would've sold them as 14K, which I thought they were. Also I'm glad to know they are not plated, which I was also double guessing myself on that one too.
Thanks everyone for the wonderful help, I really appreciate it!

That sounds low. If they're 4 grammes of 18ct then you ought to be getting twice that!

Haha, it is low, I think scrap for 18K on ebay is around $25. per gram, at least that's about what range I'm seeing now.

I did one of those online calculations and four grammes came out at about $126. That could be slightly optimistic. ;)

Most welcome. They may do better than that as earrings, depends on whether you want to gamble. ;)

Start them at the scrap weight or close to it and you might get a surprise. On the other hand they also might not sell...which would also be a surprise.
