Are these real coins made into earrings? The posts are 14K gold.
They are about 15-16 mm diameter.
One is 1911, and not sure what the other one is 192?
    Thanks for your time. :)

British George V coins. The coinpeople or Brits (or both) should be able to help you.

    Thanks anyjewelry!:)
Maybe they are not real coins, IDK? I was just looking at some others, and it seems they weigh more, but I could be using the wrong search terms, I will keep trying.
    These weigh 2.1 grams each.

    Hi,
I feel they are real but perhaps just gold plated. No reason to make the obverse side if they were to be hidden by the ear.

Thanks so much Any Jewelry, after more digging I think these are not real coins, and I checked the half sovereigns, and they appear to weigh about 4 grams for one, so I think these are not real. But I wonder why they are of 2 different years? If they were just gold earrings, why wouldn't they just have 2 of the same years on them? IDK, strange...:):joyful::kiss:

Thanks Greg & Bear, I should've done this earlier I suppose....I just tested them and they are 14K gold, so not 22K gold coins, and I'm sorry I didn't do that earlier...oops!
The one with the rubbed out date looks to be 1922, I think, but not sure.
They both seem to have some sort of mark on them, which looks different on each one. I will see if I can get a pic of them, they are very tiny.
    Thanks everyone for your help.

Two different years? To fool the unaware into thinking they're the real thing. ;)

The dates are artistic license. It's done to make them look more like the coins they aren't. Real half sovereigns would get awfully heavy as earrings after a while.

Haha Thanks Bear! Yes 14K is still good. Well I tried to use my usb microscope camera to get pics of the marks, but it is soooo hard for me to use...so shakey, and grrrrrr...
anyway, here is the best I could do, they each have a different stamped tiny mark.
    Thanks again everyone.:)

    Thanks Evelyb!:)
So, for listing purposes, do I call them faux British sovereign coin earrings?, Or half sovereigns?, or something else?

I'd list them as 14k Saint George design earrings. The carat weight and weigh of the earrings will tell any coin collector they're not actually coins.

At least I hope that's Saint George(LOL) The real coin shows George on a horse nailing the dragon. These...not so much.

There was a fad in the 1970s for gold coin jewellery. Proper sovs and half sovs were expensive so cheaper look-alikes were common, and inevitably made in 9 carat gold, a standard so low it is almost not gold at all.

Common 'coins' were these sovereign types, US gold dollars, small gold Mexican coins, and possibly a few more I can't remember. They all have a similar look to these in the OP, sort of rubbishy in design and execution.

Assuming they are gold I'd put them in the scrap bag.

Are you sure they are 14k? The bottom mark is an Arabic 18, so I'd say 18k, possibly Egyptian made.

I agree with AF, not coins.
They look heavily plated to me.
But if you are sure they are gold I`d put them in the scrap box.
