Oil painting need help with signature

    benbenny007 I buy rubbish, and sell antiques

    This painting has a very vague signature top left. Have difficulties finding who made it. Was bought in the UK London. The back has only a title and year reading porcelain cup 1996. It has the number 8 ehich could point to a exhibition/gallery? There are some marks of glue which makes me thing it had other labels in the past. Any idea if I can find out the artist with only this information?
