I went to the auction today and picked these things up for 2 dollars! Can anyone help me with these things? What are the worth if Any? The man and lady candlestick have Japan on the bottom. And then I have these bottles that are men and women along with plates or saucer with the word Easter on them. 20170506_002051.jpg 20170506_001812.jpg 20170506_002051.jpg 20170506_001212.jpg 20170506_001231.jpg 20170506_001408.jpg

    Hi,
Your first bottle looks like Victorian lady's dressing table cologne bottle. The Chinese cloisonne ashtray looks very 1920s30s. Need to see the bottom. The
candlesticks can not see anything, need better pictures and definitely the bottoms.

I agree with Greg's estimate of the period of the ashtray, might even be a bit older. It is 'just' enamel rather than cloisonné, there are no compartments for the different colours. There doesn't seem to be any damage, good find. Even though it is not a good market for ashtrays, this is a worth something as a decorative item.
    The elephant is resin.

    Hi,
Thanks for showing the bottoms. Nice set of cologne bottles, did not realize there were 2 sets. The one looks like it is sitting on a pin tray or perhaps a saucer. Sorry about calling the ashtray cloisonne, I knew it was enamel, coffee had not clicked in
    yet when I said cloisonne.

Thanks Greg any idea on the value on any these things. I'm sure I could get more than my 2 bucks back

Don't worry, we've all been there. That's why it's good to have all of us to help when needed.

About the ashtray, the 'china' mark on enameled metal is 20th century. In this case early 20th.
