Help please, with Oriental Rug

Not my area of expertise, so any ID help appreciated. Rug is in good condition, not in my possession, but in my family. It measures 6x9.

Any info would help, as we need to sell this and I need to probably find a good auction that specializes in these? Or maybe it is run of the mill? I need to research it more, but don't even know what keywords to use. Thanks in advance!

Newer rug stating Iran not Persia and woven in Pakistan of Persian design.
The center medallons are called "Guls" and are supposed to be symbolic of elephant tracks. I have one like yours with a beige center back ground.
It is an attactive rug but doubt of much high value.

Did you see on eBay that a Miami seller is selling overdyed persian rugs for over $1K and getting it? The latest trend, they say. Maybe we should take our's out back and dye it...!

You are welcome, I am glad when I can help, I think you might be lucky to get to 300. Now if it was silk instead of wool I would look for a thousand. Yours is 9X6 if 8X11 it might sell higher.

You might want to look at Bokhara (and various other spellings such as Bokara). I've always liked the pattern and have had a few.
