I thought I would show you all my Victorian chair.
I bought it in 2001 for £100 and when I bought it it had been professionally refurbished with some Victorian wool work in browns and greens that I didn't like much.
I stripped the pieces off and sold them for £45.
I then refurbished it with the Victorian wool/plush work (which I still love) and the modern blue velvet which was all I had at the time shown in the first photo.

I decided a few days ago it was time to spruce it up.
I stripped it down again and refurbished it with some lovely Victorian velvet in black (had that for years in the cupboard).
The braid I used isn't Victorian but it isn't new and it goes really well.

The bottom photo is the finished chair.
It was hard work but I think worth the effort.

Hope you all like it :)
