One tiny bit to add.....if you look carefully, you will see two earlier attempts ( ? ) at a signature......without the I......but I would say confirms the L D......

 

Thanks. I always thought there were other markings but couldn't make them out..so thought they were just scratches. I'll check with a magnifier. I'm lovin this site. Very few sites have this level of activity. I have many more pieces of porcelain that I'll be photographing and sharing.

 

Checked the areas with 5X and 10x magnifiers and the area in your smaller red circle has the smallest faint, maybe, script D...but it may also just have been ink falling off a very fine tip quill. I can't see anything legible in the area of your larger red circle. I'm going to look for art nouveau artists with initials LD or maybe DL. The hunt is part of the fun.
