Stoneware vase

    I purchased this small vase today and have been
    unable to identify it any help would be appreciated
    it is 4 inches tall by about 4.5 inches wide.

    I believe this is Native American pottery by one of the Sioux tribes. I can't read the first word, unfortunately.

    It is cute. I like the way the design is carved to reveal the white underbeath.
