It used to be more, but Japanese pieces have been pretty low lately. The boil, as we say, has gone off.

Thanks, so the value is 50-100 euros if undamaged. However, the top was badly cracked & repaired by being glued back together. I can't take a photo right now as I'm not at home. How much approx would it be worth?

As not terribly rare and condition as you state, I'd turn crack to back, fill with water, add flowers and enjoy.

Stick some silk flowers in it, I'm afraid. Around here you have to give the broken ones away, as in free.

a broken vase will always be a broken vase......little or no value.....with some exceptions at the very high end..

    Hi,
You never know. I had an old common cookie jar !950s that had a broken glued bottom. Since it displayed okay I listed it on ebay for 9 bucks. It sold for 375 dollars I thought I was imaging things. I asked the buyer why so much for a broken common cookie jar? She replied that I could keep the cookie jar just send her the lid. Turns out the lid was a special type and color. As to a common Chinese vase I had that the top broke off and was glued. Sold for 5 times what I was asking for. You never know until you list it for sale. works the other way also. Had a wonderful pair of 50 dollar vases that I listed for 99 cents and that is what they sold for.:oops::oops:

Every once in a while you find something "just like Grandma's" and there were two Grandmas who owned one.

I sold our old amplifier to a bloke for a fair bit. He just wanted the buttons. (!)
