My mother was give this in 1975 from lady that said they had it in her family for a hundred years. I have not been able to find a sideboard like it with the full top. My parents had the marble top replaced that had cracked in many places but the mirror is original. My mom is moving and we are wondering on keeping or not and possible value. We know that large furniture is not "in" right now.

Thanks in advance for any help.

that's lovely....and the kinda thing you'd wanna keep around.....

I could see that going for $ 600 in the big city
    ....................................$ 500 on the outskirts...
....................................$ 400 in an upscale town
    ....................................$ 300 in a country village
    ....................................$ 200 in a rural community
....................................$ 100 up the side of a mountain
an not a red cent to today's kids living in a 20th floor apartment !

Lovely piece. I see some art nouveau influence, but I cant recall ever seeing columns like that. Very interesting, hopefully others will have more info.

I think circa 1900 European with some definite art nouveau influence. If it were mine, I wouldn't let it go for less than $600.00 but may end up keeping at that price. I also wouldn't be all that upset with having to keep it. Time was, it would have been double or more.

Try German or Dutch with those pillars.

Thanks for the info everyone. That's more than the Nashville auction house experts have known. We're hoping to keep unless we get good offer which no one has done so far.
