Wow Aaron, that was a heck of a find. Scooped this off the sidewalk today. Nothing special, but marked RRP, Roseville, OH:

I don't even know what that set is, but .... list it.(LOL)

Bingo! The trade name I've seen for those faceted beads is "Botswana agate". If you're inclined to take that apart, they'd love to meet a hardstone cameo pendant in need of a chain.

Things have been surreal here. Half of my charity thrifts are still closed, no church sales, most flea markets still closed, very few estate sales, yard sales starting up but really cutthroat. I went to a yard sale that advertised jewelry and was opening at 9 a.m., I was there at 7 a.m., and the lady told me somebody knocked on her door the day before the sale and she sold her all the jewelry. I was beat out by 5 minutes at my little thrift shop by two women who bought all the new jewelry put out. My flea market had people RUNNING around yelling out what they are looking for. I have been very discouraged, but I do have some finds I photographed and need to upload to show you guys.

The one estate sale I did go to, nobody was buying the jewelry. I bought some the first day, and showed up two hours after the sale started the second day (half price day) and most of the jewelry was still there, so I got some nice things. I did find two antique mall mistakes, and i got some vintage dolls very cheap that are collectible. I will try to upload tonight.

The bad thing here in South Jersey is that people are disregarding wearing masks and social distancing. Unfortunately, it's turning into a political issue....not a health issue. No places are making people wear them inside. I went to Cape May last Friday, and nobody was following any rules. I don't want to stay home, but I don't want to get sick, either. I just do my part by wearing my mask, and I did buy a pack of 10 face shields. To boot, the weather has been 87 degrees and up and humid.

that's disheartening...but it tells me that the runners are out...and the folks who make a living doing this are now working on overdrive , looking to make up for lost time..

The day before? I'd have blackballed the early bird. There's getting in ahead of the competition and then there's just plain rude.

At the last estate sale I went to on Saturday, we had to sign up for slots on line. Two jerks signed up for a total of six of the first ten slots well before the 7AM start time for the address going live. I got to the site at 6:50 and had to sign up for the next half hour. ... I got there early anyway in case of no-shows, and the two rudesbys didn't show up. They let six of us in early and after that I think they gave up. Whoever those guys were didn't endear themselves to the folks running the estate sale one bit.

I had a few yard sales. When I married my husband, I had double everything, and I also invited friends and neighbors to set up (we have a huge yard.) One guy knocked on my door looking for stuff the day before, and I couldn't believe it. First, I was alone, secondly, nope, definitely not getting it.

Our estate sellers are strict here. Some were lax in the beginning, but I am sure people complained. but now one person, one ticket, no sign ups, the line starts usually an hour or before the sale on the first day, but whoever is in line first gets the first ticket. You can leave and come back, which most people do. Second and third days, first come, first served, no numbers.

The one estate seller learned quick. The advertised a ton of jewelry and the sale started at 9 a.m., and somebody showed up at 7 a.m. and they let him have almost all of it.

Plate of mostly sterling, mostly from the last estate sale. Nobody was buying it!
The black MOP cameo panel bracelet, 800 silver, was a whopping $18 the first day. I waited until the second day to pick up the 800 silver cameo necklace for half-price, $9. The Beau sterling bracelet was $6. The strands of sterling bracelets above it were sold as a group in an antique mall for $8.95. The sterling religious medal is really beautiful, $9.... The earring up top are sterling/gold finish with rutilated quarts, thrift shop, $4. The sterling ME FIRST pendant was sold as costume, $2. The garnet ball necklace may or may not be sterling, no marks. Most of the other jewelry was $2.

    Krementz, estate sale

I went into a messy antique store I never visit, and the guy was mad his wife made him go into work. He had a bunch of jewelry boxes in back of the front counter, and I asked him if I could go through them. He said yes, and sold the stuff cheap. From the pile, signed ART set

Plate of stuff- the smokey rhinestone brooch is Weiss, the art palette is MMA.

Thrift shop amethyst necklace, appears to be a crafter's creation. The pendant is sterling and amethyst, the rest, base metal or silverplate.

And in the bad news column, I lost my ruby and diamond band I loved. I think it ended up in the trash instead of my bedside trinket box when I was having great pain in my shoulder due to calcium deposits (worst pain of my life.) I tore the bedroom apart twice, nowhere to be found. :(

Here's hoping the ring went under the bed instead of into the trash! Everything else???? KERBLAM! (That enamel costume bracelet is ...Somebody... but for the life of me I can't remember the name.)

Today I went into the Ill Will. My money stayed in my pocket. One of the people working there told me they're never bringing anything back that I normally buy. I said "Why am I even in here then?" and walked out.

Thanks. The ring is not to be found, but I continue to look. If I knew it ended up in the trash, I would be at rest. That ring was a huge bargain for the $600 I paid- it was sold as garnet, not ruby. To replace it, I am looking at more than twice as much.

I never go in Ill Will. Ours don't put out any jewelry.

I thought it was glass, but tested it. Then I researched types of tourmaline. I never heard of it, either. I will photo a close up.
