    Thanks Sue

I would about swear it can't match any of those

I think perhaps the stamp was cracked too

The top text looks like CURLALA.A.something

I haven't any help for your either. Gee, wish we could make out those letters in the middle. THey could be 3 initials. Usually "925" is in the middle of these circles. I can make our "925" around the bottom right. To the left of "925" there may be "MEX?" The stamp is then doubled at that point. Around the top may be Guadalajara??? I almost think what looks like a C is a G followed by UADALAJ... then the stamp is blurred. Then again around the top may be Cuernavaca - a city in the State of Morelos. I'm not 100% sure that is an Eagle 4. If a "4" then it isn't centered in the middle of the eagle. I thought possibly a "5" badly roughed and worn or a forty something like 41??? Again I wish those letters in the middle weren't messed up. No doubt they are the initials of the maker. The stamp die looks like it was broke in the middle messing up those initials. Anyways that is a newer style eagle stamp dating it 1955-1980.

The 4 is the only mark that is for sure. Guadalajara could be. The first A is angled at the lower right making me think R. The second to last letter may be missing completely. With breakage through the middle, those initials could be most anything.

A quick search of STERLING GUADALAJARA came up with a number of similar construction and/or similar plant. None had a maker's mark that could match and most had the marks in a triangular form.

There were a number of sellers listing stuff with free shipping starting at ninety-nine cents. Some ended under melt.

Here is a rotated, cropped, zoomed pic of the Mexico stamp with what may be??? the text for others to see what I am referring to.
