Was wondering what you thought about these photos? One has information regarding 1959 race protests in Virginia

Bryan, are you sure your photographs are not of this?

"On 22 February, 1960, an organized group of fifty blacks at the Downtown Richmond store were refused service and escorted out of the Richmond Room. The resulting boycott and lines of picketers cost Thalhimer's $3 million in sales. The situation prompted a meeting between William, Jr., and Webster Rhoads, the president of Miller & Rhoads Department Store, to discuss a solution to the crisis. They resolved to invite blacks to dine at their respective eating establishments, thus taking the first steps to end segregation."

And I believe you're asking if they're photographs from taken for a private or commercial purpose.

Not sure the only info I have is what is written on the back of the one. Yes I was wondering if they are one of a kind photo or something that may have been copied

There was a march in January of 1959. The outfits look like for winter

I don't think there's any way to know who took them and for what purpose. Size (which you don't state) should give you a hint as to whether they were commercially taken or not. You can do a Google Images search to see if they were reproduced before.

Oh, and by way, the average temperate in Richmond, Virginia in March is a high of 60° and a low of 37°.

Looks like a 1959 Pontiac Bonneville behind the woman in the first 2 photos.
