From Russia. People sell, I think this is a trophy painting that was taken out during the Second World War.

it's nice but i find the boat too big , and out of place.
i would think it's dome by an amateur....

Hello SSlava, welcome to the forum.

The towers remind me of towers I've seen in Bohemia, in what is now the Czech republic. It could be there or a neighbouring area in central Europe.
I agree with Komo, a nice amateur piece.

There are others on this forum who know more about painting specifically. I am sure they will be along.
Old frames are often used again for later paintings, I think that is the case here. To me the painting looks no earlier than first half of the 20th century.

Well picture precisely pre-war. There were in family at one woman about 60-70 years. The picture has got by inheritance. Recently I have asked the seller.
But still so far I have definitely not found out from where the picture has appeared at the grandmother of the seller.

 

It would certainly help date the picture if you could find that out. But I must say, it probably doesn't influence the value, because it is not by a famous painter and is not signed.

 

And what is the value of the picture? About 40-50 dollars?
