Spider Pendant Help (don't look if you don't like spiders)

Hi,
I'm trying to determine what the body of this spider brooch is. I can see a few black spots inside - maybe Jade?
This is 1 1/2"L, I'm guessing made of sterling.
any information appreciated.

I hate spiders but just had to look. I couldn't have that in the house.

Looks like British Columbia jade to me.

I hate to say it but I'm seeing a bubble in each piece. That makes them glass or more likely lucite in this case.

 

Thanks evelyb30. Maybe a reflection, I only see black spots.

 

Fifth picture from the top. They're pretty visible from here.

 

Yeah, when you enlarge the pic it does seem to look like that. But why would glass or Lucite have black dots in it? They look pretty much the same and in the same position on each sphere so maybe a refection from the room?

 

What appears to be a large bubble in the center of the balls,looks like the camera lens reflection.

 

Looking at this in hand there aren't any bubbles, I'm sure what you are seeing are reflections

 

Jade is a definite possibility.

 

I'd use a sunshine cloth to polish the silver and see if there are any marks under the tarnish.

Looks like it was made by a hobbyist,too much solder used.

By the way, you called it a brooch but I'm seeing it being a pendant. Do you think it had a pin at one time?
