    Welcome, uksweetheart! :)

How about sharing your areas of interest? Do you have a special love in the antiques world or are you a generalist?

What got you interested in old stuff? What were you looking for when you found us?

(Just to get you started. ;))

Since we seem to have an "old home week" going on up there, let me add that a set of my 4th great grandparents were from Yorkshire too! Married in Birstall St Peters in 1816, lived in Drighlington, then emigrated (with all 7 children) to New York in 1841.

I guess you could say I'm a generalist even though I love antiques I have no expert knowledge, I have always had a liking for "old stuff" from being young, it fascinates me wondering what it's gone through over the years and what stories it can tell. The reason I found this forum was because of some pottery I knew was quite old but wanted it IDing, I think I might have something else to ask about that I was given about 40 yrs ago and have never known what it is but I love it :)
