Featured Mahogany PHILCO table

I found this little mahogany side table at a local estate sale. It's marked PHILCO on the front. I've tried to find a comparable to tell me what it was used for. Did PHILCO make furniture pieces along with radios and televisions? Any info would be great.

I was also thinking a table/stand that went with either a radio or a television.

 

Tables were sold as an accessory. Some models had speakers built in. That might be what is going on with the one moreotherstuff posted above.

 

This goes back to the radio days. Here is an early model.

 

Well, this will give me an excuse to buy the old Predicta I've been wanting. Owning a table like this without having a Predicta to sit on it would just seem silly....or atleast that's the argument I'll try on the wife.

 

Would be a great addition, though not correct. Predictas has legs that attached or were a console with a remote screen. There may also have been a rolling cart.

I was thinking more along the lines of the Predicta Holiday. The table top version

 

I found a large wooden philco dining table. It has large letters “UL” sculpted into the base of the table. It has a metal strap at the bottom “Philco corp” i can literally find no information on this. Anyone?
