    Noted: strong-featured;).
There actually was no general Pre-Raphaelite female beauty ideal, if you look at the way they painted different women, there is not one specific type. They did accentuate certain features, maybe to express their idea of certain personality traits of the historical figures, etc. they portrayed.
None of the models looked as "strong-featured" in real life as they ended up on canvas. For instance, this is what Jane Morris, model for the first picture above, really looked like:

Alexa Wilding, model for the second picture, had no "strong" neck or other "strong features":

Hmm.. how can you put a value on it without having a name of a designer or such. Ok art nouveau. It's not gold or decorated with gemstones or such to base a rough price. You just need two pepole in auction who battle for it. Maybe put it up for auction and announce it also her the website. Seems many here have interest and wanting to start a war for it :)

It doesn't have to be signed, marked, or made of precious materials to have value. There is a great market for fashion jewellery and for non-precious period jewellery. This necklace is the latter. In the meantime I have listed it in one of our Etsy shops, the price is under that of jewellery of similar materials and period:

Just a few days online and already a favourite of two people.

    Wow, thanks, I appreciate that.
By the way, the girl in the shop picture is yours truly many moons ago, one of my brief modelling stints.

I'm sure it is ivory! Crosshatch pattern of the Schreger's lines isn't everywere on a carved piece, the lines here are distinctive:)
This is a splendid piece, I hope you sold it well, if not yet, I recommend to have an appraisal by a serious auction house before:stop:

Thank you, but don't worry, the lady wasn't ivory.
It is difficult to tell from a photo, but when you handle it, there is a definite difference. And I didn't mention she was also too lightweight to be ivory.
I used to sell Asian antiques, and have handled a lot of antique ivory, netsuke, fans, etc. Also marine ivory, which is different again.
Anyway, I sold her for a price which I thought reasonable for both the buyer and myself, and she is in Australia now. I am sure she will be able to shine there, that's better than just being kept in a jewellery box here.
