Okay, so I'm not usually in the position of instructing in subjects like this but I'm still gonna do my best. First off I'll have to make it clear that it's usually not best to start calling her (possibly a him) a "this"; instead of asking "help me date this" you could have asked "help me date her". If you want to make it clear that this is the one and only love of your life you could have asked "help me win the affection of my true love." So to your original question... Assuming this will be your first date don't do anything too fancy like rent a tux or write a poem, what you should do is make it clear you're paying for any expenses (if she insists on helping pay be compliant, it would make you look like a fool yelling at your date over a $10 hamburger). Another important thing is to make plenty of eye contact and smile at anything she says unless it has to do with a dog or grandparent dying, in that case either say nothing or something like "I'm sorry for your loss... How about a hug?" If you're having trouble with the first part of asking her out try rehearsing what you're going to say in front of the mirror; don't worry man you got this!
