Friend had an inheritance and this is just a fraction of the cups her grandmother had. Mostly unsigned, but a few signed Val St. Lambert and Portilux. They are asking for my help w/approx value or anything I can tell them. Glass is not my field at all, but learning. Photos below show about 1/3 of what they had and time was short so didn't get the kind of close-ups I usually like to post.

There were a couple of glasses where "Val St Lambert Belgium" was actually written on the side of the glass in large letters like an advertisement or something. Ever seen anything like that?

The clear ones are modern Waterford, so mostly interested in the colored footed ones. Seems like her grandmother collected this shape.
Just need some keywords to get started, and anything else you could tell me from these limited photos that I can pass info along much appreciated. For starters, what would I call the footed shape glass many of these have?

In photo #2, there were several of those solid light blue ones with the colored vertical lines.

    Thank you!

No help with the glasses but the crimped edge bowl looks like what could be referred to as a brides basket/bowl

upload_2017-4-14_22-24-24.png Black light the yellow one. Possibly vaseline.

Not sure about the matching opaque glasses in the front of picture 1,
and except for the Waterford, the others appear to be EAPG.

The blue with the horizontal decoration looks Bohemian blue enamelled milk glass, late 19th/early 20th.

    I'd call those goblets.

The ones in front are called footed tumblers. VSL did have some large marks. They are still going and have a web site.

Thank you George, and others.

Might check the VSL site. Those marked with the huge VSL lettering on the side stood out for me (....but I don't know glass). I think it was raised lettering, might have been an inch or even more high and circled around the entire center exterior of the glass. There were a couple glasses that had that.

All of this is a helpful start. I thought there were just going to be a few things to view and turned into a lot. (This was just the glass.) Should have had my regular camera but didn't think to bring it, and we were somewhat limited with time.

As for these in the photos, that yellow one seems to be vaseline glass as Cluttered mentioned -- but sadly that was one of the few with damage on the foot. The pink brides basket (thanks, cx) had no markings, no idea where to even start. And thanks Bear, Bohemian for the blue.

They want to sell all of these shown, plus another 20-30 in cabinets. Everything in the glass and footed tumbler category was colored, sort of like this. They belong to a friend, so I'm really in the position to advise rather than purchase. In fact I am fairly committed not to purchase anything.

Is anything popping out as huge value above the others? I don't even know what glass like this sells for on average. Any tips or thoughts much appreciated.

Thanks SO much for taking a look.

    lol, famous last words Lucille:)
for the brides basket, it looks like it has a pattern but I can't make it out - that might help with an ID and could increase the value. It will be circa 1900-1910, could be American, British, Czech - maybe they have the silver plate stand and don't realize it?
Maybe @TallCakes will have a look and ID the glasses

Just cruise through glass tumblers on ebay completed sales and get a general idea. I just looked up a bunch I had,and most, except for the rare ones, were in the $8-10 range.

    Good suggestions.

I think I'd probably need better photos here to get some genuine ID's, but not sure that is possible. Thinking back, there were also some mercury vases, glasses.

2 more glass bridal baskets (not photographed).

In addition to the glass, 20-30 Lladro figurines, a few unsigned paintings, many pieces of sterling silver, oyster plates, little "salts", that kind of thing. A bit of art, some furniture -- a few Victorian chairs, an unusual set of 1940's or 50's side chairs (not modernist) but a very different looking design.

This unsigned glass is really hard to know what is what. I am aware that there might be one or two pieces that have a lot more value than the rest, but there was so much of it, where to begin. Around 40-50 of the footed goblets in different colors and styles, etc. And not really my position to ID everything, so I'm trying to think of the best way she can sell this. She is aware that there is some value, she's a smart professional woman in her 40's and knows a bit about art, etc. She just has no interest in these items, but would like to get as much as she can dollar wise, has some projects she is doing, etc.

Arent there places that buy whole households at one time? Maybe let a few of them go through and make an offer. There is a LOT of exactly this kind of stuff on the market ,none of it terribly expensive.I would however invest in a certified appraiser and have them go through, just in case theres a Renoir in the guest toilet.
Ps...I would so buy those pastel colored ones in the front if I ran across them.:)

I thought about (possibly) suggesting the "Everything But the House" group. Have to review the post that was on this site about that company. I have no personal experience with them. Have heard one negative, that they gouge for shipping, but if they can do research and deal with all of this at once, might be of interest.

99% of her house contents are not for sale, these are just the items mailed to her as part of an inheritance, and only the things from that lot that she isn't keeping. In quantity, maybe 3 bookshelves full.

There were only 4 paintings, 3 signed and I was able to look up the artists on my phone, no value for the most part. I did take a photo of the only unsigned piece. I'm thinking this unsigned piece isn't anything hugely valuable, but was in kind of a fancy frame and does appear to have some age. Will post later under "art" to get thoughts.

Obviously the Lladros can be looked up, honestly, for those it might almost be better to sell the entire lot on CL for one price if there aren't any super valuable ones in there. It might be the kind of thing that actually sells for more in person that on Ebay. (Less competition, and some people still think of these as being such an investment.) They are nice enough in a way, but the online market has dropped.

There was also a huge set of Noritake china -- like a full setting for 12 (or more). It was a pretty set, attractive pattern on the edge, and looked basically unused. I told her believe it or not, I didn't think it would be an easy sell, seems like no one wants that kind of thing, no dishwasher, no microwave, etc. but now have checked Ebay and some of these large Noritake sets are selling for good money! (A couple on Ebay from $400-over $1K) So need to get the pattern name, easy enough. We were pressed for time, so didn't do everything I wanted to, but need to do a bit of additional checking, and may retract my opinion on that.
