All I've got is late 1960s-1970s.

    Where's Walter!

There's an excellent Bitossi and Italian Facebook group with Bitossi family members posting. Try it there.

    Thanks cluttered, AJ and bear:)
I posted on the Facebook group, no information yet and also on the Italian forum, below is the response from Walter.
The numbers could refer to a catalog number, mold number, decorating instructions, almost anything. Each company had it own method of tracking. I can't identify the maker but two clues tell me where it might have been made and when. Very few companies impressed their goods with the country of origin. Most times the pieces were simply marked "Italy". The exception wa the ceramicists of the town of Nove and Bassano in the north of Italy, not far from Venice. Most artist did use an impressed seal to mark their products. I would date the piece to the early 1960's.

Maybe Peggy will pop in and have a look - @bercrystal

I saw this post earlier, but didn't have time to post anything. I am not entirely sure who used this style of hardware, but a SWAG would be it is French. I tried finding it in the book I found Bear's Baccarat bottle in but did not see it there either.

Here is another bottle that has the same hardware. I do not know the maker of this bottle either, but it & the other bottles this seller has / had listed are pretty to look at if nothing else. ;):p:cool::D:D

The tall Murano red & gold bottle that was sold on 4/10 is coming to live with me in the next day or so.:smuggrin::smuggrin:

Thank-you Peggy:) Is the hardware a selling feature over the bottle itself sometimes?
Wow, they sold some beautiful pieces! You must have a fabulous collection!

Is the hardware a selling feature over the bottle itself sometimes?

Sometimes buyers look for who made the bottle & sometimes it is who made the hardware or it could be the 2 together. Personally it is always the hardware & the bottle is usually a plus. I collect DeVilbiss pieces & they only made the metal parts & bought bottle from just about everyone who ever produced glass bottles. ;):happy:

I think this one will sell because of the unusual Daisy design. I would play up the Italy & the daisy connection in the title. Then in the description you might mention a possibility of the hardware being French or European.

You can try contacting Helen Farnsworth through IPBA, but since their convention starts in 2 weeks, she may or may not get back to you right away.

I don't know if you opened any of the listings, but they had a photo of the whole collection at the end of every group of photos. :jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop:

The rhinestone & filigree topped bottles are not really my cup of tea, but obviously this person absolutely adored that style of atomizer.

I do have a wonderful collection & it makes me smile every time I look into one of the cabinets that are stuffed full of bottles.:happy::happy::happy:

Thanks again for your help Peggy:) I might have to go back and see if the other pieces of this set are still there - there was a couple of powder or some kind of containers and a bottle with a cork stopper but I didn't want to buy them all until I could figure out who made them or if they would sell.
I didn't see that photo but just went and looked now WOW, that is quite the collection!! They all look so beautiful on display.

Go buy the rest. Sets ALWAYS sell better than singles, and that atomiser is very very pretty.

I would definitely try to get the rest of the pieces. Maybe you will luck out & one of the other pieces will give us a clue as to who made them.:happy:

I went back and got the other pieces, only 1 has marks on the bottom. I guess the other bottle would be perfume?

That is a really cute set!!:happy:

The other bottle would have been the perfume dauber bottle. You also have the powder jar & ? vanity jar for cotton balls.

Good luck with this set!!:happy:

I have never heard of that maker. Helen has always been so super helpful & she loves to research stuff to find the most obscure makers or scents. Do report back with what you find.:happy::happy:
