Does anyone recognize this person? With the motto “Honi soit qui mal y pense” circling her head I believe she’s royalty, but am not sure exactly who it may be. King George V’s Queen Mary, perhaps?

Don't you think sideburns indicate this is a guy?

I thought that was just shading, but now I’m not sure!

Of course it's a man. And he appears to be wearing ermine so royalty. George IV possibly.

Thanks for this, Debora. He DOES look like he could be George IV. As this monarch died in 1830, this stained glass panel is either very old or was made, for some reason, after his death. More questions!

It's not really stained though, is it? Appears to be a round painted panel with stained surround.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

DEFINITELY a "guy", just a 'dandy' as they used to say!!!!:joyful::joyful::joyful: and quite possible a wig, from the bow tied in back!!

Looking at the picture of George IV and comparing it with the "stained" one, the eyebrows, slight sideburns, shape of the mouth and the nose make for pretty good ID to me.

George III, I reckon. I bet that came out of a Victorian pub called the George.

George III wore a powdered wig for most of his reign, as shown below. (Part fashion and part vanity as he was balding from an early age. I still think his son George IV much more likely. Hair style above Regency era, not Georgian, and reflects the dandy style of 'Beau' Brummell, as shown below. Do think Victorian pub decoration very possible. George IV in his youth was... how shall we say... known to be fun loving and many British pubs are named The Prince Regent after him.

Seeing the second picture you included, I’m inclined to agree with you! Sure looks like our guy.

The second image is, of course, Beau Brummell, but he set the fashions of the day. He was also a friend of the Prince Regent.
