This is made I think of brass but with a deep copper color. It's seems to correspond to a general Bukhara / Samarkand style but all i know for sure is that the piece came from my umcle who was posted in Australia WW2. It's a little under 14" tall, about 35cm, and the main body consists of 15 segments soldered together and held by a ring at the top, also soldered, and the base. Has anybody seen anything like it or have any idea of the age / origin? 20170408_162830_resized.jpg

Yes, it is from the Silk Road area of Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek style is usually more Central Asian, with geometric stylised designs and geometric Islamic script. But Silk Road cities like Bukhara, Samarkand, Kokand, etc. had a large ethnic Persian population that influenced the arts of those cities.
Your ewer is a classic example of that beautiful stylistic mix. It is likely to be from Kokand in the eastern tip of Uzbekistan, where there was even more stylistic freedom than in the other cities.
