Jet I think, brooches again

The goldstone one feels light again, like the ring but the material feels different.
The goldstone one is two and a half inches and the other is about the same.

(When I got this robot,I thought he'd be easy to get info on as he's so clearly marked. I didn't find anything. I haven't looked for about ten years so there may be more info now,haven't looked yet but will in a minute xx)
He's an inch,think he's silver or plated.
He says Joby Regd. on his back.

NO IDEA what these are made of,the flowery one could be plastic perhaps but it's very lightweight.
Says JAPAN inside.
The other ones doesn't feel like plastic but again no idea

The bird's talon seems to be cut steel!

 

The flowery one is celluloid, the engraved monkey is Japanese, and usually they are ivory

Thank you again, Kyra...just looked at the link...does look like that. I have some ivory beads somewhere so they can hang out together ( if I ever find them!!)

 

The Celluloid crossover snake bracelet is very saleable.

The flowered one is also Japanese.

Large beads are trade beads again; don't know about others.







This scrolling up & down is giving me a repetitive motion injury.

They have that feathery design some trade beads have, but they're not trade beads. They wouldn't last very long in the trade circuit. Very pretty though, and I think they're Japanese.

The brooch with 3 colorless stones would do very well on the market I think. Don't know how you determine 'paste' v. ordinary glass. The little carnelian is nice.

Have you looked at the beads in the pic with the snake bracelet using your UV torch? Just wondering.

 

Too fragile. Trade beads should be able to last for centuries. The trade bead (the cylindrical bead) in Bou's other thread is nice and sturdy, that is what you need. After all, they represent value as well as status.

 

It's cut steel I am sure...meant to mention that, got a cut steel brooch in the other post and I knew what it was for once xx
