I have two. actually this is the same bowl i put the pic on general discussion. But since it was not in order thought of putting the same set of ceramics with a proper order.

Oops. I think you'd have to take a zero off for the two.

Why do you want to sell expensive spongeware?
Spongeware is very nice, but it has always been at the lower end of the price scale. The ones that are close to the price you were thinking of are rare, 18th and 19th century pieces. But you'd really have to know your spongeware before you can tell if it is a rare, antique piece.

First that is not sponge ware.
    Examples

    Adams Ironstone
Stamp is after 1891 and before 1966. My guess is more like 1920 - 40. Couldn't find that mark on the Potteries site.

I also checked out replacements and did not find that particular pattern.

Have no idea how prices compare to US. Here in Northern California, I would have that bowl marked around $20. It would sit on the shelf for a while.

Obb seems to be calling it spongeware, although I can't see any sponge having been involved in the making. To me spongeware is mottled, but Obb is more familiar with it than I am, so who am I to say it is not British spongeware.
In The Netherlands we would call it 'boerenbont', 'peasant gaudy'.
Mariyan is asking for prices in the UK market, for a UK buyer. I did a bit of googling and came up with the above for the UK. It would be roughly the same in Continental Europe, and would certainly sit on the shelf for a considerable time.
Maybe she should sell it to the US;).

All I see from Owned is a question of how many bowls. No other comments.

I realized Mariyan was not in US, was only commenting on what I saw and how I would price. Everything is relevant to location. I do realize that.

I don't think this is sponge ware. That was my basic intent of the reply.

BTW, I enjoy your answers. Hope I didn't butt in where I shouldn't have.

I said on the other thread that the Adams bowls weren't spongeware.

Spongeware isn't always mottled: I posted a link on one of the threads to an article showing some lovely examples.

Some of those other pieces he/she has might well sell very well indeed, but I stil need separate photos with backs. ;)

Hey sorry guys, for the late reply. it's been really busy past days. one of the disadvantages of being in shift work. hey thanks a lot guys for the comments and the price. the main reason i am going to sell these out is, the trend in Sri Lanka is not spongeware. So there is not much of a market place here. actually no market place at all. I will keep on adding plates. I would be really greateful if you guys could provide a rough estimate. coz the seller asked me to state the prices im willing to sell and he'l decide it.
