Hello to all. I am in the possession of a carving set. I am not quite sure if it is English or French. Can anyone tell me something about it. How old and from where.
    Voilà some pics.

The faux capodimonte mark would likely be Italian

Ahhh Italian maybe, but does the faux capodimonte mark not usually have an "N" under it? You may be right. Do you have any idea how old it could be.

Not a carving set, that's a fish knife or similar. God knows what the spoon thing is for.

I dunno: my first glance thought was Eastern European/Turkish/Greek with that enamelled brass. That's a swallow on the spoon thing. Close up on the decorations, please.

I suspect the crown is a retailer.

Do the pieces themselves have any marks on them?

The five point crown looks like the Rolex logo.

I agree the knife is a fish knife.

Can't help, but they look to me like quality pieces with some genuine age.

Ditto the request for close-up photos and the question about whether they are marked in any way.

    I think they are gorgeous!

They look as if they were specially commissioned for Michael Jackson.

Although they may be older, I doubt if they are older than mid 20Th. C.

Are we sure thats brass and not gilded thats tarnished? The enamel work looks to be very well done,so definitely some age to them. I thought Russian ?

The price seems totally absurd and the pictures are poor, so the description may be something of a rough guess.

I can't see those well enough to say if they're gilded, but it's possible. Close ups!
