Went to the Heart of Ohio Antique Center and a few other malls in Springfield, Ohio area as a treat for being mostly recovered from my recent surgery. It was the first time I've been antiquing for 3+ months so I was thrilled to be on the hunt again. Found some great stuff, cleaned out a few of the cheaper postcard dealers where I think I found some good bargains. The Heart of Ohio is a must see antique mall for anyone in near Ohio or visiting the state with the highest quality inventory I've seen in any one mall.

Thanks! Have also been hearing rumors that many of my furloughed co-workers and I are going to be called back to work in the coming weeks! Incredibly relieved.

This is from yesterday, first day in $avers since March 1st.
$20.25 for all in various grab bags. I didn’t stay longer than 10 minutes, people without masks and creepy crowding.

Thanks! I’ll have to take some individual photos later, some cool stuff including a Tiffany & Co. open salt, J. Ford Smith of Salem coin silver server, a Mylius of Norway pastry server and not sure what the little Alvin pots are with little spoons and under plates.

And I find people not wearing a mask, in the middle of this pandemic, to be downright selfish. If my looking creepy wearing a mask saves one person from dying an untimely death then I'll gladly be creepy for as long as it takes.

People with their masks down are a reason to back away - not because they're sick, but because they're stupid and stupid is always scary.

That said, I did my social distancing best on Saturday morning and hit a tag sale. The stuff was dirty but not germy. Bought, among other things, a box of jewelry for $10. Not searched, no one knew what was in it but Grandpa had a pawn shop. I didn't think there would be any gold, but there was a seriously pretty crystal necklace. Well ... there were some cheap-looking metal earrings with 18k markings, a single with no marks, a 14k ring, and two vintage pins - one 10k and one marked 750. Oops. The bracelet I thought was gold-plated aluminum. Uhmmmmmm, no. 585 with a mystery mark!
