Approx 8" high, 9" across. Curious if anyone has ideas of the maker. Thanks.

I had one exactly like this except the bowl was green. It was identified as Italian, but I never found out the maker.

Very nice bowl, AND very nice googling skills!

Empoli glass seems to be all around us lately............do you think the gobberemnt has anything to do with it?

I think sellers have started to believe that any unidentified MCM glass is "Empoli".
Sort of like McCoy for pottery.

How about Empoli/Blenko? :) Might as well throw that in there...

(My heart sinks when my boss is considering a houseful of old glass and china, but that made me feel pret-ty good!)

    Wow, Scoutshouse. Great! :):):)

Have to ask, why did you add the word:"optical"? I tried, "amber footed bowl" and didn't get any matches. What does "optical" refer to? Great searching skills! Thank you!

Someone i used to work with was very competitive and secretive about how she researched glassware and china - she had a love for it and had developed mad skills.

Over three years, that was one of only two things she let slip and I've never forgotten it!
