Bit weird - Germany and Austria united, but Africa shows Ghana rather than Gold Coast and Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland which only existed between 1953 and 1963

That type of mapware typically dates to the 1960s.

Just remember, maps can date no earlier than when a place was first named, but places that existed anytime prior to the present, can still appear on maps made any time after they first appeared.

Especially when dealing with decorative items rather than maps meant to represent accuracy, (and this would fall into that category), going by when the countries on the map existed to help when the item was made, can be problematic.

Therefore, an item depicting a map can date no earlier than the newest place name shown, but could have been made today (not that I'm saying this was, of course.)

Spanish Sahara was created in 1958, Federation of Rodesia and Nyassaland existed from 1953 to 1963.

...the auction my item is in, is finally going live tomorrow - as an online only auction- was originally to be part of their annual NYC Asia week in March - which got cancelled due to Covid.
You can see the auction here :

    https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2020/the-hundred-antiques-fine-and-decorative-asian-art

    Catalog here:

Mine is lot 809, on page 15 of the catalog. There are some really nice pieces in this auction, and the pdf catalog is actually a nice free piece of reference material for chinese antiques.
