The wedgwood and co Livingstone soup plate is not made by the more famous Josiah wedgwood factory. Two different makers.

You've still got too many in each lot, they need to be individual, given what a muddle of stuff you have. I can see a fair bit of English transferware, a piece made for the Turkish/Middle Eastern market with that crescent star - but still spongeware. Separate posts, ideally on the Porcelain forum with the back of EACH please.

I certainly agree, "a muddle." I have scanned down them and am having a very hard time not confusing them. As GBB has pointed out a couple of times, backs are very very important in dating and IDing makers. They should be pictured individually, numbered, pic of front followed immediately by a pic of the back and definitely only one or a very few to a query.

GBB is the expert on these plates. I can possibly only add a little on a couple of the transferware patterns. Right off the top of my head without any of my reference books Lot #2: 1st and 8th pics and Lot #5 - 1st pic is "Asiatic Pheasants" pattern. Several companies made this pattern from Allman, Broughton to Podmore & Walker to Wedgwood and Co.
