My grandson found this awesome necklace and before I let him wear it around and risk losing it, he is only 8, I wanted to see if it has any value, but I cannot find any references to the dolphin and anchor marks... I have checked the usual sites with no luck unless I missed it. Thanks!! mexster.jpg mexster1.jpg

I don't think it's incredibly old, and odds are it's a factory piece. Artisan pieces use different markings.

    Hi,
Let him wear it. I had a few fine pieces of jewelry at that age and I still have them (along with numerous other pieces of junk). Some times a piece like that will end up guiding his interest in old things.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Thanks everyone! Yes I am going to let him wear it, it suits him. Right now he writes comic books at age 8. He has lots of interests! He is a very talented sweet boy.

Lucky you! Cultivate that - it seems there aren't many of those around any longer, and we NEED them for the future!
