    Where in S Jersey?
    Stock exchange desk or something similar?
    Maybe UN or some large place where many meet to vote?
    Trenton?

    I'm not sure what that is but I know if I picked that I would have disassembled it and repourposed the oak .
    Kinda looks like a homemade pulpit!

    I am located in Mantua. Gloucester County. I was thinking stock broker desk as well. Also thought maybe a bank teller desk, railroad, or maybe post office. Picked it up in Freehold, NJ

    The number does it for me because it's so high.
    Can't imagine stock broker as much for the same reason and unless two are working together I can't see stock either.

    I know where Freehold is, I'm from NJ. :)
    There are others here who are in NJ.
    They will tell you who they are if they want.

    Does the other side have a number as well ? Im thinking some sort of factory desk,the slots on the side were for orders,and they could control the lights from it.

    I'm thinking the lamp is an addition as are the light switches.

    Does this look like it was cut out after the desk was put together?

    It's a stock exchange desk! Just found an old educational video on YouTube about the NY Stock Exchange. Check out the link below. Go to about 15:45 in to the video and you'll see a great example of it. Pretty cool!
