    That looks like a fashion logo, but is it gold?

    Someone else could say if that's a warrior or Buddha or pheasant on the back, which would make it a nice, searchable cross-collectible. There's probably some fable attached to it.

    If it is gold, I think it'd worth it to spend the time to find out (to me).

    Kintaro comes up in connection to mitsudomoe (it could easily be another legend):
    Japanese - A hero. Servant of Yorimitsu. Son of Sakata Kurando and Yaégiri. He was born of a warrior and a mountain-spirit and, after his father had killed himself, was raised by his mother in the wilds where, as a youth, he made friends with the wild animals and developed enormous strength. One day he was seen by a noble, Yorimitsu, in the act of pushing over a tree to form a bridge so that he could cross a river. Yorimitsu took him as his retainer, called him Sakata Kintoki and he grew up to be a warrior-hero. In some references, identified as Kintaro, Golden Boy, Golden Boy, Kintoki, Kintoki, (Sakata) Kintoki or (Sakata) Kintoki.

    Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

    Specifically, the shape, direction and number of 'tomoe' (?) all seem to have special significance.....according to @scoutshouse link!! Interesting!!!

    Sarutahiko Okami

    In the Nihon Shoki, he is the one who greets Ninigi-no-Mikoto, the grandson of Amaterasu, the Sun goddess, when he descends from Takama-ga-hara.[2] He is depicted as a towering man with a large beard, jeweled spear, ruddy face, and long nose. At first he is unwilling to yield his realm until persuaded by Ame-no-Uzume-no-Mikoto, the kami of dance and the arts, whom he later marries.

    @Aquitaine

    Japanese symbology and mythology is sooo incredibly dense... Lots of action coming and going up there in the heavens :)
