Does vintage yarn like this have any resale value?

Trying to decide whether to return or list. Large bag of vintage yarn from GW today, I have not removed them from the bag yet, at this point could return for credit, but thought I'd check here.

20-25 unopened matching 1 oz skeins, just like this unsold auction where 8 did not sell for $7.99.

Same label EXACTLY, but mine are black and gold and I have 22 or so.

    Thoughts? Thanks.

My thoughts? Well, you seem to have a decent quantity and black w/ gold lurex likely more desirable than baby blue w/ silver lurex but when you compare Completed vs. Sold listings on eBAY, you'll see not much of a market for vintage SPINNERIN yarn. So depends on what you paid for your lot at GW and what type of profit margins you typically like to your listings to make. By way, think seller is a couple of decades off with dating of her lot. Here's a 1950s SPINNERIN ad with same product in what appears to be same packaging.

    Hi Lucille,
If you got them cheap enough you could donate them to a church group that knits for babies and others in need. Just a thought. I had a good lot of even mixed shades. The group I donated them to used them to make afghans for older people
    in the nursing home.

Debora, I was thinking 50's, too. Just from the font on the package. Also noticed that Spinnerin wasn't selling that great on Ebay. Didn't know if color/bigger quantity made it more desirable.

Greg, that's an idea. They were pretty inexpensive.

Maybe list the lot up for $20, if it doesn't sell, then donate?

$19.95. Always worth a try (provided you'll make a profit.) And avoid $7+ expedited shipping. USPS 1st Class will do.
