Here are two I have (I'm pretty sure the tiger-eye is a Stein). Her striped bangles usually have that strap.

Tie dye, I would say "bakelite era" for yours. Maybe celluloid?

Thanks for posting the Lea Stein pieces, Scouts. I'll be on the lookout! Very cool.

Lea Stein makes delightful brooches, to be seen on Google Images. I wish I had one!

Imagine my surprise when I pulled this Lea Stein pin from the bric-a-brac jewelry box at local thrift :)

I found a page that gives a little more information on her, and approximately how to date her pieces... This one is the "Diver" of "Golfer" (holds a racquet, natch) Lea Stein

At 4.5 inches, she's the biggest one I've found...

They're out there! :) Lea Stein

    Great find!

Scoutshouse, thanks for the refresher on Lea Stein. It is JUST the kind of thing that could get overlooked at a thrift, etc. Some of her jewelry at first glance isn't what normally catches my eye. A good reminder to keep a look-out for such pieces. (Which seem to sell quite well!)
