    My god!
You people are like kids in a classroom that has a "new kid" and no one wants to sit by him because one of "the in-crowd" doesn't like him.
Grow up and quit being bullies.

That I understand, but if people want to poke fun at each other than they should at least have the courtesy to direct that poke at the person in question, and not comment about them to someone else. Do you not see that as rude? ... I don't know people on this board, nor do they know me so what gives them the right to talk about me on my own thread. I would hope now that anyone who has taken a dislike to me will now leave the thread, but that may be wishful thinking on my part.

Laughter is good for the brain. Humour often helps the thought process.
I think it has to do with the attitude from the start of this thread, not with one of a supposed in-crowd liking him or not.

We all support you, otherwise we would not take the trouble to think about your brooch.
Whatever else could be added to this, has already been said, I think.

Don't worry about it, It's easy to think people are being hostile when in reality they are just trying to be funny. People here don't usually hold a grudge.:)
(Sorry Any Jewelry, I was in the middle of this when you replied.)

"what gives them the right to talk about me on my own thread."

First the minute you posted, it became the forum's thread and open to all comments.

You have to remember that we are looking at a flat screen with no facial expressions, or intonations of voice.

I would hope now that anyone who has taken a dislike to me will now leave the thread, but that may be wishful thinking on my part.
Your reactions to us are defensive, and really have no need to be.
I don't think that anyone dislikes you per se. However, your direct wording may have put people off and now on the defense of you. I think mistakes were made on both sides and we should all apologize and move on.

Here's an example of how threads go off and on track. Be careful - you might laugh. ;):)

If that thing in the man's hand is a hawk, it looks like a frog to me. Hence my caption. More Kermit than Kes.

Don't worry, just my thought, not an order. And your answer was absolutely right.

"Having a strong personality myself is why I probably found the personality of other here difficult to digest, as I said to afantiques I guess I'm to sensitive."

BTW the edit button on your posts only stays for about a day. You may want to go back and edit post 35. Your comment was added into what you quoted, and comes across as being a quote from me.
