    You have to remember that the oft-quoted "wither thou goest, I shall go" was said by Ruth to Naomi after Naomi told Ruth to return to her own country. As opposed to Ruth saying it to her husband. A common mistake in wedding ceremony readings. ;)

    Not long after this discussion, I saw a photo of the artist Philip Hermogenes Calderon on eBay. I went ahead and bought it -- It's a bit faded, so I've darkened it slightly. Here he is:
