Hello my name is amanda, I am 40. I am from paradise ca ( home of the campfire) I can’t be here anymore, to many horrific imagery that wont go away anyway so my husband and I are moving and going through things and have many things from my grandmom that I know are old but can’t find any definitive info online maybe someone can help.

If you go to the very top menu, the dark brown one with Home on the left & select Forums, you'll see a list of the categories we use. Open the appropriate one for your item, select start new thread, & off you go.
I have lived in Manhattan for 44 years. 9/11 is still an open wound for those old enough to remember.
Oh wow yes I remember exactly what I was doing that morning, so horrific. I am so sorry you went through that, it was bad enough to watch in tv, but to be so close, I can’t even imagine!
Because I am too cheap to get cable (& have heard so many friends rant about their service & fees) & the TV broadcast transmitters were all on top of one of the towers, when I heard the news on the radio, the first thing I did was turn on the TV, to find nothing but snow, so I knew it was true. The new tower is designed to accommodate new transmitters, but for some complicated reasons I don't understand, either they've never been installed or never put in service. I haven't had TV since that day & have never seen any of the video. Like the murder of George Floyd, a verbal description of the events of that day is as much as I can take.
DAMN..... I can imagine - saw it on the news - Horrific! Glad you made it out and are moving on.......
