Beautiful gold detailing on the rims with flowers all around. On the inside of the cup, there are pears and grapes in the center of the flowers.
Both pieces have veins spread throughout like a leaf.
I can't find any information on the piece because I can't figure out what the bottom of the tea cup says. All I know is that it is Austrian.

NOT thinking this one's ANY better, Bronwen!!!! If I try to go bigger the program will start to distort the image........the smaller is 2X, the larger is 4X.......surprisingly....it didn't make it ANY worse......

I just barely know how to use my photo editor & always appreciate when you & others who are better at it give us the benefit of your expertise. I was just getting things started, since I don't have anything else to contribute.

BTW, welcome, amandanicole3. See by the ? you're not sure either. Is this for tea? Looks like it would be very difficult to drink from. Small sauce dish with drip tray? Looks like it would be hard to pour from, so guess you would need the right spoon or small ladle. The edges of the under plate look like they do not extend any farther out than the edges of the dish?

I'm liking nut dish at the moment. I think of them as having frilly edges & being designed to be handed around.

About how big is this? The underplate does suggest it was made for something that might drip. On this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/174244455313
only the dish part has a little bit of a handle, the plate does not, but also looks like there is a tiny spout worked into the ruffles.

Seems about the same size as mine, and the dish in the pic could have a handle, might not be pictured! Thanks !!

If you look at all their pix, you will see that the underplate is handle-less. I don't know why we can't make sense of your mark when it is partially legible. I'm not one of our porcelain experts. Still a chance someone will take a look who can recognize it or look it up.
